Virgin is launching a huge airfare sale on domestic and international flights to celebrate 25 years of flying in Australia.

Domestic one-way fares to Byron Bay are available from $49, and international flights to Vanautu can be snapped up from $439.

East coast residents flying out of Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or the Gold Coast can score sale prices on flights to international destinations such as Bali, Queenstown, Fiji or Samoa.

Domestic sale flights are on offer for travellers visiting Tasmania, the Sunshine Coast, Cairns, the Gold Coast, Whitsundays, Adelaide, Perth or Darwin.

Virgin Australia chief marketing officer Libby Minogue said the sale was to thank Australians for flying with the airline.

“There’s no better way to mark our birthday than by offering great-value fares across our domestic and short-haul international network, starting from just $49 one-way,” she said.

“Whether you’re chasing sunshine, visiting family or discovering somewhere new, now’s the time to plan your next adventure.”

Sale fares are available until August 31 unless sold out prior. They include travel dates between October 14 and June 25 next year.
