‘Super f....d up’: Joe Rogan takes aim at Australia’s government again on controversial podcast
‘Australia is such a crazy place, man.’
Controversial US podcast host Joe Rogan has lashed out at Australia again, saying the country’s “super f....d up” government is oppressing Aussies.
In a conversation with singer and actor Ryan Bingham on his podcast, the Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan had plenty of praise for the Australian population, and referenced the Nation’s wild flora and fauna.
“Australia is such a crazy place, man. It’s bigger than the United States . . . or the size of the United States roughly, and it has less people than Los Angeles,” Rogan said.

“And hardy people man. Hardy m...........s come from that place.”
Bingham agreed, chiming in: “I feel like Texas and a lot of folks from Australia are kindred spirits.”
Rogan continued, this time taking aim at the Australian system of government which the US podcast host has long criticised.
“It’s a rugged place, and the kind of people that live there, they’re fun,” he said.
“(They’ve) got a super f...ed up oppressive government, unfortunately.”
It is not the first time Rogan has disparaged the Australian government, either: In a 2024 episode of the Joe Rogan Experience, he took aim at how the pandemic was handled, despite the US losing more than 1.2 million people to COVID-19.
In the episode, Rogan revealed he contemplated moving to Australia if the United States was ever to be destroyed, while in conversation with Brazilian mixed martial artist Royce Gracie.
“If America falls, I think the whole world will fall . . . where would you go?,” Gracie asked.
“There’s no place that has (the US’) kind of freedom,” Rogan replied. “I used to think Australia, and then I saw how they handled the pandemic. I was like, ‘oh, f... that’.
“That’s what happens when no one has guns. The army just rolls in and tells you what to do and put you in concentration camps because you have a cold.”
Rogan has also been known to refer to Australia’s pandemic response as “crazy shit”, criticising an alleged ‘lack of freedom’ deprived from our shores.
“They have full on government lockdowns where the government is flying helicopters over streets saying ‘go back indoors, you’re not allowed outside’,” he claimed in 2021.
