Anthony Albanese and Donald Trump snap a smiley selfie in New York

Anthony Albanese has posted a selfie with US President Donald Trump after the pair finally met in New York.
“Good to chat with President Donald Trump at US welcome reception for world leaders attending United Nations General Assembly hosted by @potus and @flotus 🇦🇺🇺🇸,” the PM wrote.
It was unclear whether Mr Albanese would lock in the meet after tensions between the US and Australia grew following Australia’s formal recognition of Palestine as a state.
