A man has died following a crash on a highway in South Australia’s southeast.

Emergency services were called to Dukes Highway at Brimbago after a cyclist was struck by a van about 11.50am on Tuesday.

The cyclist, a 43-year-old man, died at the scene - becoming the 76th life lost on SA roads this year.

The 43-year-old driver was not injured in the crash.

A stretch of the Dukes Highway between Keith and Bordertown was closed while Major Crash Investigators examined the scene but has since reopened.
