WA man charged with threatening to kill Prime Minister, NSW Premier over online messages

A WA man has been charged with threatening to kill Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and NSW Premier Chris Minns through an online video.

Police allege the 19-year old man from Meadow Springs used a social media platform to send messages threatening to kill the leaders on Wednesday afternoon, about 2pm.

Just after midnight in the early hours of Wednesday, detectives from State Security Investigations went to the man’s residence and made an arrest.

He was charged with threatening to kill and is due to face Mandurah Magistrates Court on Saturday.
