Robertson electorate guide: Federal election 2025 candidates, results and margin

The Central Coast seat of Robertson could be one to key seat to watch on election night given the seat has fallen the way of whichever party has been elected to government in every election since 1983.
The seat encompasses parts of the Central Coast council including the areas of Gosford, Woy Woy and Terrigal and is currently held by first-term Labor MP Gordon Reid on a margin of 2.2 per cent.
Dr Reid won the seat for the first time in 2022, unseating the Liberals’ Lucy Wicks who had held the seat since 2013.

Like most of the country, cost of living is seen as one of the key issues in the seats and both parties making their pitches to the locals, who largely live around the Brisbane Water estuary.
Robertson is the longest running bellwether seat in the country, having fallen the way of the government for 15-straight elections.
The last time the seat was won by candidate who’s party didn’t form government was in 1980 when long-term Labor MP Barry Cohen was elected despite the Fraser Government winning its third term.
The seat could also become the electorate Anthony Albanese votes in one day after the PM made headlines for buying a $4.3 million coastal home in Copacabana in 2024.
