US President Donald Trump has celebrated one year back in office by delivering a wild, near 95-minute press briefing in the White House, speaking about Hells Angels, Somalian pirates and illegal aliens.

Mr Trump, who returned to the Oval Office for his second term on January 20, 2024, said he had never seen a bigger crowd in the White House press room. “I think that is a record”.

The US President, in true Trump-style, arrived with props, bringing a giant pile of papers.

Trump’s list of accomplishments

“These are the accomplishments of what we’ve produced,” Mr Trump said as he held up a book of Trump Administration achievements.

“I could stand here and read it for a week and we wouldn’t be finished. We’ve done more than any administration by far.”

Mr Trump, for a total of 10 minutes, held up printed out photos of criminals that his administration, through ICE operations, had taken off the streets

“These are all criminal, illegal aliens. In many cases, they’re murderers, drug lords, drug dealers, they’re the mentally insane. Some of them who are brutal killers are mentally insane.”

Mr Trump called out California and Minnesota, saying the States were currently dealing with “professionals” who were being paid to disrupt and agitate ICE operations.

Returning to his “book of accomplishments”, Mr Trump flicked, at random, through the book to call out some of his administration’s work.

“Biden’s stag-flation”, US factory investment, “the best stock market in history”, banning men playing in women’s sport, “record $US18 trillion in US investment”, tariffs, ending “eight un-endable wars”, lowering US drug prices, lowing US gas prices, the One Big Beautiful Bill, which sees no tax on tips and no tax on overtime, cutting Government spending, securing the border and cutting illegal immigration, increasing US exports, cutting illegal aliens off from Government support, and stamping down on drug importations were just some of the points that made Mr Trump’s very long list.

At one point, the clip holding the papers together snapped of, with Mr Trump joking if it had hurt him, he would not have shown it.

Trump likes the Hells Angels

While speaking about illegal alien criminals, including gang members, Mr Trump said those criminals were far worse than any of US origin, calling out “the sweetest people on earth”, the Hells Angels.

“They (criminal illegal aliens) make our criminals look like babies,” Mr Trump said.

“They make our Hells Angels look like the sweetest people on earth.

The Hells Angels are now considered a nice, high-quality person. I like the Hells Angels, they voted for me. They protected me.”

Trump stopped the pirates

Mr Trump spoke at length about Somalians, hitting out at criminals who have committed fraud in the US.

The President said the US had stopped Somalian pirates, saying the US was treating them like the drug pirates.

“We also also stopped the pirates, they get the same treatment as the drug boats,” the US President said.

“Somalians, you know what they are good at, that’s about the only thing they’re good at, they’re good at pirate ships at sea, big ships.

“You have these massive ships being taken over by Somalian small boats with a big weapon.

Mr Trump said shipping and insurance companies didn’t have to worry now.

“All of a sudden, there are no pirates at sea. Have you noticed? We haven’t had a boat taken in a while.”

Mr Trump said Somalia wasn’t a country and had no Government.

Trump says he has saved the United States

“If I wasn’t elected President, this country would have been destroyed quickly,” Mr Trump said.

Mr Trump said that if former Vice President Kamala Harris or former President Joe Biden had been elected in 2024, the United States would have been destroyed within “a year”.

Mr Trump again said that the 2019 US election, which was won by Mr Biden, was “rigged”. Saying more information about this continues to come to light, without providing details about that information.

“We took a country that was dead, and it’s the hottest country in the world right now.

Mr Trump touted his strengthening of the US military, saying they have played a pivotal role in taking Venezuela and in securing peace in the “eight un-endable wars” that he has taken responsibility for ending.

Mr Trump said people still believed he should have won the Nobel Peace Prize that was instead given to Venezuelan politician Maria Coronia Machado.

Will Trump keep the US in NATO?

Mr Trump, when he took questions, finally moved on to topics dominating news headlines around the world.

The US President said he would not be visiting Paris for an emergency G7 meeting, saying French President Emmanuel Macron wouldn’t “be around for long”.

On Greenland, Mr Trump remained tight-lipped on plans, however he said the US needed Greenland for national and world security.

Asked how far he was willing to go to acquire Greenland, Mr Trump responded: “You’ll find out”.

“I think something is going to happen that is going to be good for everyone. Nobodys done more for NATO than I have. In every way.

“I think we will work something out. NATO is going to be very happy.

Mr Trump said NATO was only as good as the US, and claimed to have made the alliance “so much stronger”.

“Sometimes it’s overrated, sometime it’s not.”

Mr Trump left the room and is now expected to travel to Davos, Switzerland where he will meet world leaders, with Greenland and tariffs expected to dominate conversation.
