A former Turning Point USA employee who claims she was fired has spoken out about the organisation’s leadership after Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

In a 13 minute video posted to X, Aubrey Laitsch discusses her termination from the conservative organisation where she worked as the public relations manager.

Ms Laitsch claims she was with the organisation since 2021, and was working directly under Andrew Kolvet, a spokesperson for TPUSA.

“I did so many things for that company,” she said. “I worked many, many hours outside of my general kind of understanding of what this job entailed.

“And I had no problem with it because I wanted to work hard for both Andrew and Charlie, for my co-workers and for the Lord.”

It was around 2022 or 2023, she said, when Charlie took a step back that “things started to change.”

“Charlie decided to entrust some of these people that had been working at Turning Point and some outside hires to kind of take more of a leadership position within the organisation.”

“I trusted that he put the right people in charge,” Ms Laitsch said.

“But over time, I pretty quickly learned that some of these people in leadership positions, we’re not people that I felt were either prepared or qualified, or deserving to be in that role.”

According to Ms Laitsch, an Uber driver had told a board member that his daughter was friends with an employee who didn’t like Erika Kirk, which was part of the reason why she was terminated.

Ms Laitsch said she was “taken aback” by the allegations, since she had known Ms Kirk since 2013 when they were doing pageants together.

“We were doing pageants around the same time as one another. She was in the Miss USA organisation, and I was in the Miss United States organisation, and we happened to cross paths at an event,” she said.

“I’ve known Erika for quite some time, and my thoughts about her and the idea that nobody likes her do not align whatsoever with the timeline of October or November.”

However, Ms Laitsch doubts that this was the primary reason for her termination, and instead thinks it has something to do with her “questioning the narrative” of Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

“What is being told to us in the mainstream media just really doesn’t add up to me,” Ms Laitsch added.

She ends the video with a message: “It literally breaks my heart to make this video, but I know that I owe it to Charlie and that this would be the expectation for me.”

On Sunday night, the organisation hosted what has been dubbed “The All-American Halftime Show” as an alternative to the official Super Bowl halftime show featuring Bad Bunny.

Kid Rock headlined the show, which brought in about 5.7 million viewers at its peak.

“The All-American Halftime Show is an opportunity for all Americans to enjoy a halftime show with no agenda other than to celebrate

faith, family, and freedom,” Turning Point spokesman Andrew Kolvet said in a statement.
