“Wait — don’t they leave it in the desk?”

Mr Trump searched the desk drawer and discovered the letter addressed to him.

He thanked the reporter, joking it “could have been years” before he’d found the letter.

“Maybe we should all read it together,” teased Mr Trump, before deciding he would read it first and then ascertain whether it was worth sharing.

The newly sworn-in President revealed he had also left Mr Biden a letter back in 2021, at the end of his first term in power.

He said his letter to Mr Biden discussed the “unification of our country”.

Mr Trump also took a swipe at Mr Biden for pre-emptively pardoning his family members.
