“We do ask that you join us in prayer for America’s Mayor Rudy Giuliani.”
Mr Giuliani was mayor of New York City from 1994 to 2001 and guided the city through the 9/11 terrorist attacks, earning the nickname “America’s Mayor”.
Mr Giuliani worked as a lawyer for US President Donald Trump in his failed efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election, an effort that led to criminal charges against Mr Giuliani in two American states and a defamation lawsuit from election workers. Mr Giuliani has denied wrongdoing in the criminal cases.
Mr Trump is aware of the hospitalisation and posted a message of support on Truth Social.
“Our fabulous Rudy Giuliani, a True Warrior, and the Best Mayor in the History of New York City, BY FAR, has been hospitalised, and is in critical condition,” he wrote.
“What a tragedy that he was treated so badly by the Radical Left Lunatics, Democrats ALL — AND HE WAS RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING!
“They cheated on the Elections, fabricated hundreds of stories, did anything possible to destroy our Nation, and now, look at Rudy. So sad!”
It is not known why Mr Giuliani has been hospitalised or how long he has been there.
He was previously hospitalised in 2025 following a car crash.
