US Vice President JD Vance and his wife, Usha, will welcome their fourth child, a boy, in July.
Usha Vance announced the news on the second lady’s X account on Tuesday, where the pair said she and the baby were “doing well”.
“During this exciting and hectic time, we are particularly grateful for the military doctors who take excellent care of our family and for the staff members who do so much to ensure that we can serve the country while enjoying a wonderful life with our children,” the Vances said.

Their first son, Ewan, was born in 2017, followed by another son, Vivek, in 2020. The couple’s daughter, Mirabel, was born in 2021.
The announcement comes weeks after fellow Trump inner-circle member Karoline Leavitt announced she was expecting.
The White House Press Secretary, just after Christmas, announced she is expecting her second child, thanking to US President Donald Trump for his support.
Ms Leavitt, 28, is married to Nicholas Riccio, 60. The two wed in January 2025, just days before Mr Trump’s second presidential inauguration.
The couple, who have an age gap of 32 years, already share one child, also named Nicholas, who was born in July 2024.
“The greatest Christmas gift we could ever ask for - a baby girl coming in May 2026,” Ms Leavitt wrote on Instagram. “My husband and I are thrilled to grow our family and can’t wait to watch our son become a big brother.
“My heart is overflowing with gratitude to God for the blessing of motherhood, which I truly believe is the closest thing to Heaven on Earth.”
Turning to her Republican colleagues in the White House, Ms Leavitt shared a person thanks to Mr Trump. “I am also extremely grateful to President Trump and our Chief of Staff Susie Wiles for their support, and for fostering a pro-family environment in the White House,” she wrote.
“2026 is going to be a great year and I am so excited to be a girl mom!”
