Black bear joins diners at table at Chipinque Hotel in Nuevo Leon in Mexico before taking swipe at woman
It was a dining experience with a difference — with a bear joining a couple for dinner.
The encounter was captured on video, with the black bear casually making its way to the couple’s table at a hotel in Mexico and tucking into their meal.
The footage at Chipinque Hotel in Nuevo Leon shows the bear slurping on the couple’s food before looking around then taking a swipe at the woman, sending plates crashing to the ground.

All the while, the man dining with her is filming the bizarre experience on his phone — until the bear, being shood away by hotel staff, makes its way to his side of the table and he quickly gets up and leaves.
The bear then makes its getaway, running from the hotel grounds.
Social media users were impressed with the woman’s calm reaction to the bear as it ate at the table.
“I don’t think I would have just sat there,” one wrote.
Another said: “The girl stayed so calm while that bear was right next to her. I would have run so fast ...”
A third joked: “I guess he wasn’t a fan of room service.”
Black bears are an endangered species and while looking friendly, can be dangerous.
And they certainly don’t make the best dinner guests!
