AFL great David Schwarz had driver ‘back into me’ while speaking live on radio

Melbourne great David Schwarz has had a driver reverse into him while he was live on the radio.
The 52-year-old was appearing in his weekly segment on SEN WA Breakfast when suddenly a loud horn bellowed out.
SEN host Scott Cummings at first appeared to think it was a joke, given co-host Tim Gossage had just playfully said that Schwarz would be in a “bad mood” after the Demons had been smashed by North Melbourne at the weekend.

But the hosts soon realised the beep from Schwarz’s car was no joke.
“Mate, I’ve just... I’ve had an idiot just back into me,” a slightly rattled Schwarz said.
Shocked at the sudden curveball, Cummings asked: “Are you serious?”
He was.
“Can you believe that? A bloke has just touched me, what a d*******,” Schwarz said.
“Anyway, how are we?”
As if the former Melbourne goalkicker’s morning could get any worse, he had also just copped a fine.
“I’ve just got a parking fine and I’ve pulled out and a bloke has just backed into me, what a goose,” he said.
Now genuinely concerned, Cummings asked: “Do you need to handle it or are you OK?”
Schwarz insisted everything was fine: “Nah, nah, he’s only just touched me. I’ve got his number plates, I’ll track him down later on.
“How’s that? I’ve had a great start to the morning... How are you, boys, anyway?”
The blooper was reminiscent of a similar moment that happened on SEN in 2014.
Radio personality and former golf pro Mark Allen was speaking to longtime host Kevin Bartlett about the latest golf news from the week in his weekly phone interview when he crashed his car.
“I’ve just crashed, KB. I’ve just crashed my car,” he said during the live interview.
Floored by what had happened, Bartlett famously responded by simply saying: “jingoes”.
Allen bailed on the interview but later called back, assuring Bartlett that everything was OK.
“It was just a little bit of a tap. Everyone’s okay, no one’s hurt. It was little scary, though,” he said.
