AFL legend Lance Franklin and his model wife Jesinta have been caught up in the cyclone drama that has engulfed Queensland.
The 33-year-old Jesinta Franklin shared vision of Buddy as he sprung into action to start preparing for Cyclone Alfred’s arrival.
The Franklins moved to their Gold Coast mansion not long after Buddy retired from the AFL.

The skies around Buddy look threatening in the vision, but it didn’t deter the former superstar from getting to work.

“The best outcome is that it isn’t as bad as what is being predicted,” Jesinta (the 2010 Miss Universe Australia) wrote on Instagram.
“But the messages we’re getting from friends with videos of this thing closing in closer to the coast are so scary!!
“Stay safe QLD.”
Jesinta also revealed the family had “stocked up on some new board and card games” as they prepared to bunker down.
In 2022, Buddy and Jesinta bought the Mediterranean-style home in Reedy Creek for a record $8.75 million.
But they have since been trying to sell it because they have a desire to move to a farm.
The stunning eight-bathroom mansion (on a whopping 1096 square metres) in the Gold Coast hinterland was up for auction last year, but was passed in for $11 million.

Jesinta told Channel 7’s The Morning Show last year that she and Buddy were thinking of selling their $8.75 million mansion for a change of lifestyle.
“We’re actually thinking of selling up and buying a farm now, so yeah, we’ll see how we go,” she said.
“But that could be the next thing we’re talking about the next time I’m here. Potentially (we could sell the dream home). I mean, yes.
“We just love the idea of being on land, growing our own food, having horses, a couple of Highland cows, we’d love that. It could be something interesting.”
They purchased the Mediterranean-style home in November 2022, just six days after it hit the market.
Before the move to Queensland, the glamorous couple sold off their luxury pad in Sydney’s eastern suburbs for $5 million.
