Mansell took his frustration out on the 2020 best and fairest, who was pinned on the ground underneath his younger teammate before 21-year-old Sam Banks came over to separate the two.

There was a moment of angst before the pair both moved on.

Some Richmond fans might say they appreciate the aggression within the team as they try to lift themselves off the bottom of the ladder.

The heated exchange comes just days after similar scenes in Sydney, where brothers Chad and Corey Warner had to be separated by Swans coach Dean Cox on Friday.

The AFL shared a series of photos of the two siblings wrestling with each other as Cox tried to get between them.

AFL Media reports Corey, the younger of the two brothers, took exception to some heavy contact from Chad and reacted.

Cox was nearby and quickly came in with the scuffle lasting only a few seconds.

The brothers were then seen laughing it off.

The post on AFL’s Instagram account quickly racked up thousands of likes and comments.

Mum Anita Warner dropped a facepalm emoji, to which Chad replied with a laughing emoji.

Chad enters this year with plenty of speculation surrounding his future.

The 23-year-old is out of contract at the end of 2025 and has already purchased a house in his home state of Western Australia.

Cox has labelled Warner’s retention a “top priority”, but it will be hard to fend off the likely monster offers from West Coast and Fremantle.

Fellow star Swan Errol Gulden spoke about his teammate’s future earlier in the week.

“It looks like a nice pad ... nice holiday house for him,” Gulden smirked.

“I’m certainly doing my best (to convince him to stay) but it’s Chad’s decision.

“I’ll be niggling away at him throughout the year, don’t worry about that.

“He’s wired differently Chaddy. He certainly won’t let it affect his footy.”
