Chris Scott blow-up at AFL staffer triggered by presence of visually impaired journalist Matt Lee
Chris Scott is believed to have lost his cool with a junior female AFL media staffer due to the presence of a visually impaired reporter at his post-match press conference.
The Geelong coach last week apologised to the staff member over his aggressive outburst following the Cats’ qualifying final win over Brisbane earlier this month.
It was reported that the presence of a media identity at the press conference triggered his reaction, and The Herald Sun is now reporting that person was Matt Lee, who is visually impaired and hosts a weekly program for Vision Australia Radio.

Lee said he was in disbelief he had been drawn into the saga.
“I was a little bit shocked – and sad – to hear about it to be honest,” Lee told News Corp.
“I must admit, I am a bit rattled by it.
“It’s just really disappointing that someone would say something like that behind my back.”
Lee, who had worked with SEN, is fully accredited to attend media events under a deal between the AFL and Vision Australia.
Geelong has contacted Lee to assure him they have no issue with him attending their media events.
Scott’s apology to the AFL staffer came after Bailey Smith was forced to apologise to a female photographer after he unleashed a foul-mouthed tirade at because she had taken his photo while he was receiving a massage during an open training session.
Geelong take on Hawthorn in a mouth-watering preliminary final on Friday night.
