Jack Ginnivan is met by a media frenzy as he arrives in Adelaide ahead of Friday night's cut-throat final.

Jack Ginnivan has turned the tables on the waiting media pack in his return to Adelaide for Friday’s sudden death semifinal against the Crows..

Ginnivan was part of a now-infamous media doorstop on the way out of the City of Churches after the Hawks’ 14-point defeat to Adelaide in round 21.

The 22-year-old was confronted by a reporter after giving Crows fans the finger and was asked if he was a bad sport in a cringeworthy interview.

Ginnivan called the reporter “embarrassing” and added “do you think I am going to speak to you”, which prompted the journalist to reply, “haven’t you just?”

Ginnivan also had a run-in with Port Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley last September after the Hawks lost a close final.

Hinkley imitated an aeroplane, suggesting the Hawks should get ready to fly home after they shared words.

The Hawks warned Ginnivan to expect a hostile reception as he entered the state for Friday’s do-or-die clash, and he was not disappointed.

Half a dozen cameras encircled the Hawk as he walked through Adelaide airport with some journalists simply recording with their phones.

However, a silent Ginnivan appeared to take the attention in stride, flipping the script by recording the cameramen and women before posting the footage to his Instagram account.

Ginnivan has never been shy of headlines, building a reputation as a larrikin during his years at Collingwood before joining the Hawks, who have backed the 22-year-old’s personality.

The young gun was reportedly given advice as to how to handle the attention by Hawthorn before boarding the plane, and did not stop to address the scrum.
