Police are investigating an incident involving North Melbourne player Lachy Dovaston.
Dovaston was present as a group of people launched eggs into a Rowville carpark late on Thursday night.
7NEWS understands the group missed their intended targets, but police are still questioning them over the intentions of their actions.

North Melbourne are aware of the incident but have opted not to comment.
In a statement provided to 7NEWS, a police spokesperson said: “Police were called to a shopping centre on Stud Park in Rowville on 28 May.
“It’s understood the occupants of two vehicles were throwing eggs into a car park at about 11pm.
“No vehicles or people were hit by the eggs.
“Police have spoken to a 19-year-old Bayswater man, and the investigation remains ongoing.”
Dovaston is celebrating his 19th birthday on Friday.
He was selected by North Melbourne with pick No.16 in last year’s draft and has played six games in his debut season, kicking three goals.
He has also kicked five goals in three VFL games.
North Melbourne are on a bye at both levels this weekend.
