Sydney superstar Brodie Grundy and long-time partner Rachael Wertheim have finally tied the knot.

After getting engaged at the end of 2023, the happy couple have wedded at a spectacular winery in their home state of South Australia.

Grundy and Wertheim grew up together in Adelaide and have been together throughout Grundy’s AFL career, which began when he was drafted by Collingwood way back in 2012.

Wertheim is a successful physiotherapist and health and legal professional who has worked at the Northern Hospital in North Bondi since Grundy left Melbourne to join the Swans at the end of 2023.

Several of Grundy’s past and present teammates were at the wedding, including former Collingwood players Trey Ruscoe and Taylor Adams (now at Sydney), Mason Cox (Collingwood), Luke Parker (the former Swan who is now at North), and current Sydney gun Chad Warner.

“I love Grundy,” Warner said on social media while sharing a picture of himself with Adams and Parker and their partners.

The wedding was at Kingsbrook Estate, Currency Creek, in the famous McClaren Vale wine region.

Grundy is 31 years old and coming off one of his more impressive seasons in the AFL.

The dual All-Australian was unlucky not to earn a third AA blazer, but did finish runner-up in Sydney’s best-and-fairest count.

At the time of writing Grundy and Wertheim were yet to share pictures of the wedding but their friends — feeling the love — had shared plenty.

“Gorgeous pair😍,” one friend said.

“Some very special moments celebrating some very special people🤍,” another said.

And another: “All so beautiful ❤️❤️❤️.”

And another: “Stunning ❤️.”

It is a summer of romance for the Swans, who recently celebrated the news that Isaac Heeney and his partner Steffanie Waters were engaged.

The happy couple shared the news to their combined 123,000 followers on Instagram with the simple caption, “Beyond grateful”.

The best-and-fairest winner popped the question while the pair were on a romantic holiday in the French Polynesian Islands.

Friends, footy players and personalities alike rushed to the comments, showering the happy duo with praise and congratulations.

Brownlow medallist and former Swan Tom Mitchell said “congrats team”.

“Congrats guys, huge news!,” wrote Sydney big man Hayden McLean.

Warner clearly had some insider info saying, “There it isssss.”

“This is so good, congratulations guys,” wrote Olympic boxer Harry Garside.

“Congratulations guys !!! x,” star Channel 7 commentator Abbey Homes wrote.
