West Coast premiership hero Adam Hunter will be laid to rest at his football home in regional WA later this month.
South Bunbury Football Club confirmed on social media it will host Hunter’s funeral on February 20 at its Hands Oval base, the same ground where he won premierships for the club.
The 43-year-old was found unresponsive at his home in the Bunbury suburb of Withers by police on Wednesday morning.

The Tigers will then hold a private wake for Hunter’s family and club members following the service.
Hunter, who kicked the famous goal that sealed West Coast’s one-point 2006 grand final win over Sydney, also played football at Swan Districts, in Kalgoorlie and at Carlisle in the Perth Football League before returning home to South Bunbury.
He trained with Tigers teammates on Tuesday night, hours before he died.
The club also opened its doors last Wednesday for members and Hunter’s teammates to mourn.
“It is with very heavy hearts this mourning that we mourn the passing of Adam Hunter,” South Bunbury posted on social media last week.
“We extend our deepest sympathies to Adam’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.”
Some of Hunter’s Eagles teammates gathered to remember him this week, with fellow premiership-winner Michael Braun remembering him as as “jovial bloke”.
“Memories.....last picture sums him up… just a jovial bloke RIP “HUNTS” #39,” he posted on Instagram.
Former Brisbane Lion Troy Selwood, brother of former AFL players Scott, Joel and Adam, also died last week.
