Midfield coach Jarrad Schofield has been named as West Coast’s interim coach after the Eagles parted ways with Adam Simpson Tuesday.

But the Eagles are yet to reveal when Schofield will officially take over the duties with Simpson given the option to coach for one last time when West Coast host Brisbane at Optus Stadium on Sunday.

Schofield is an experienced coach in his own right, taking Subiaco to three WAFL premierships in 2014, 2015 and 2018 before joining Port Adelaide as an assistant coach from 2019 to 2021.
