All-forms Australian cricket star Travis Head and his wife Jess have welcomed their second child into the world, Harrison.

Harrison joined older sister Milla in the Head family on Monday this week.

Jess and Travis shared a post on Instagram simply captioned: “04•11•2024. Welcome to the world Harrison George Head. 💙”

The post included an adorable video of Milla holding her brother for the first time.

Vini Maxwell, wife of white-ball superstar Glenn Maxwell, was among the hundreds to flood the comments with messages of congratulations.

“Milla looks so proud 🥹 congratulations!! Welcome to the world, Harrison,” she said.

Nicola Rose added: “Oooo Milla holding him made me teary 🥲🤍 how gorgeous. Congratulations guys. Hope you’re doing well xx.”

Head plays all three formats for Australia and has become arguably the Aussies’ best white-ball player since his match-winning performance in last year’s World Cup final.

Understandably, he took himself out of Australia’s ongoing ODI series with Pakistan to be there for the birth of his son.

He also wasn’t named in the T20I squad that was named for the series against Pakistan that follows the current ODI bilateral.

Australia’s Border-Gavaskar Trophy series-opener against India begins in Perth on November 22, which Head will be back for.

But one cheeky Indian fan suggested on his Instagram post that he should “take parental leave for two months and don’t play BGT”.

Jess and Travis married in April 2023 and enjoyed a honeymoon before a busy year that saw Head star in the World Test Championship final, retain the Ashes and lead Australia to victory in the ODI World Cup final.

Head told 7NEWS.com.au earlier this year he had never gone so long without training before that rare holiday with Jess.

“We’d been together for eight or nine years, we’d been on one holiday before then. I’d been pretty much cricket, cricket, cricket. Whatever travel we got was around cricket,” Head told 7NEWS.com.au.

“We felt like it was very important to spend that time to do it right, to have a trip and have a great time together and not worry about it.

“The flip side is then you put your working hat on and it’s your job and you want to perform and it’s the biggest game that you’ve worked two years for.

“I’m a pretty relaxed character but it was definitely out of my comfort zone to do something like that for that amount of time. But I wouldn’t change it for the world.

“Whether I got runs or didn’t get runs it was hugely important to spend that time. We’ve got some great photos of us and Milla ... that’s what makes it so special to then go in and perform the way I did.”
