Aussie Jack Doohan blacks out social media after copping wave of abuse following three crashes in Super Formula testing

Aussie motorsport star Jack Doohan has blacked out his social media profile after copping a wave of abuse following his nightmare Super Formula test at Suzuka.
Doohan crashed three times in three days on the same corner while racing for Kondo Racing in a post-season test ahead of a likely switch in 2026.
The 22-year-old was axed by Alpine just six races into his rookie F1 season with the French team promoting Franco Colapinto in his place.

Doohan, meanwhile, has been linked to a full-time switch to Japan’s Super Formula in 2026.
But his first test didn’t go to plan after crashing into the barriers on the same bend three days running.
Doohan, the son of Aussie motorsport icon Mick Doohan, didn’t address the media after racing but did make a subtle change on his social media accounts.
The youngster changed his Instagram photo to black in what is likely a response to the string of online abuse he has copped.
It was the same move that Kimi Antonelli did after copping a tidal wave of abuse following the Qatar Grand Prix when his mistake allowed Lando Norris to move up to fourth and eventually seal the world title.
Earlier this year, Doohan launched a public plea after he and his family were subjected to abuse following a fake social media quote attributed to Mick Doohan.
A fake image of Doohan celebrating Colapinto crashing quickly circulated, with some Argentinian media outlets reporting on it as true.
“As you can clearly see, the story circulating above is completely false,” Doohan wrote alongside a screenshot of the fake post.
“It was fabricated by Argentine fans attempting to portray me and my family in a negative light.
“They edited the original content to make it appear as though my father posted it, which is entirely untrue. Please stop harassing my family.”
Meanwhile, Konda Racing factory manager Nobuaki Adachi defended Doohan despite the crash-riddled week.
“Both Luke (Browning) and Jack performed very well,” he told Autosport.
“It just so happened that Jack had a series of crashes, but he is a driver with a lot of potential.
“Suzuka at this time of year is very difficult, and I think he’ll be able to make the necessary adjustments to ensure it doesn’t happen again next time.”
After his third crash in the morning session of the final day of testing, Doohan returned to the track in the afternoon session to finish ninth-fastest of the 14 rookies in action and 26th overall.
“I think it would have been heartbreaking for him (if the final crash ended his test), so we did everything to get him back out on track,” Adachi added.
“We really wanted him to leave not having a bad impression, and somehow we were able to do that, which I am happy about.”
