In true Kojak style (a detective from a famous 1970s TV drama), Warner sucked on a large lollipop as he strutted about in white pants on the cool Melbourne day.

He was also seen acting out an altercation with some machine-gun carrying ‘heavies’ on the wharf and — like something out of a Bond movie — he had them ducking for cover when he flashed a golden gun.

While it is not clear exactly clear what the nature of the film shoot was, the sub-continental film crew could be a hint.

Warner is starting to make a habit of Bollywood cameos, most recently teaming up with India’s No.1 film director in a viral big-budget advertisement for a fintech company.

It’s safe to say Tom Cruise isn’t shaking in his boots, but in showbiz — as in professional sport — you can get a long way with a decent swagger and a cool pair of shades.

Warner announced his retirement from international cricket after Australia’s was knocked out of the T20 World Cup in June this year.

It had been a long farewell for Warner, who played his final Test match for Australia in January and also announced his retirement from One Day Internationals.

Warner still features in domestic competitions and recently recommitted to the Sydney Thunder in the BBL.
