The 28-year-old appeared on her brother Jackson’s podcast Warnes Way as the siblings relived the night of his passing due to a fatal heart attack while on holiday.

“We stood up, and I remember I couldn’t breathe.
“There was not any part of me that thought we were never going to see Dad ever again. And when you hear that... I felt like I had like an out-of-body experience. I didn’t think what was happening was happening.”
The family were left in limbo for 90 minutes as they awaited an update on Shane’s condition before a second phone call confirmed his passing.

Brooke, who was with her mother, Shane’s ex-wife Simone Callahan, and partner Alex, said it was only after that call that the reality truly set in.
“We started screaming. I screamed and cried,” she said
“Summer collapsed, I couldn’t breathe, Alex went outside. I had looked at you (Jackson) two minutes before, and you had a feeling, you said to me, ‘Something’s wrong.’
“Grief never goes away. You learn how to deal with it and how to deal with those people not being here, but you deal with grief for the rest of your life.”
The influencer revealed she had a falling out with her father and did not speak to him for a time following her parents’ divorce due to his infidelity.

However, Brooke revealed the pair had made up before his untimely death, something she was grateful for.
“I think for such a long time there was stuff that Dad and I didn’t talk about with each other that we should have but we were both too stubborn,” she said.
“There was a stage that we didn’t speak for a little while because we wanted to give each other space, and as hard as that was, I think it was the best thing for our relationship.
“Everything happens for a reason, and as messed up as that sounds, me and dad, we were meant to have that argument.
“We were meant to have the space and we were meant to have that conversation to fix it, I was very lucky.”
