A-League women’s: Former AFLW player and Matilda Casey Dumont signs with Perth Glory for new season
A capped Matildas goalkeeper — who has also played AFLW — has signed with Perth Glory for this season.
Casey Dumont will play for Glory this season, unveiled on Tuesday as their replacement for Morgan Aquino, who has moved to the United States.
The 32-year-old has missed two A-League women’s seasons, spending time on Hawthorn’s list in 2022 and 2023. She did not play a game for the Hawks.

She had initially juggled the two sports, before having a contract at Melbourne Victory terminated because of her commitment to the Hawks.
Dumont made her first appearance for the Matildas in 2015 and has played for Brisbane Roar, Melbourne Victory, Sydney FC and Western Sydney.
She admitted she would be “out of her comfort zone” moving across the country to join Perth.
“I’m looking forward to a new challenge,” Dumont said.
“It’s going to be out of my comfort zone being on the other side of Australia at a new club with a whole lot of new faces, but I love being out of my comfort zone and the challenges that come with this.
“I think Perth will help me grow as an athlete on the field and as a better person off the field.”
Dumont has worked with new Glory head coach Stephen Peters at New South Wales NPL club Blacktown Spartans.
