Champion jockey Luke Nolen taken to hospital after nasty fall in Geelong
Star jockey Luke Nolen has been taken to hospital after a nasty fall at Geelong on Thursday.
Nolen, most famous for his association with champion mare Black Caviar, crashed to the turf at the top of the straight when he fell from his mount, Draw Attention, during the second race.
Draw Attention was at the back of the field when the incident happened, which may have saved Nolen from further damage.

Racing at Geelong was briefly suspended as a second ambulance was called.
Nolen was eventually taken to hospital with the Victorian Jockey Association (VJA) saying he suffered nose and teeth injuries.
He also had a “suggested concussion and sore lower back”, according to the VJA.
Scans later revealed he has fractured ribs and facial injuries, including a broken nose with more scans to follow.
Draw Attention was not injured in the incident.
If scans confirm a concussion for Nolen then he will automatically be ruled out of for two weeks, which includes Saturday’s Ballarat Cup where he was booked to ride on fancy Berkeley Square.
Nolen, a 40-time Group 1 winner, suffered a serious injury in February this year after a fall at trackwork.
He suffered fractured ribs and underwent surgery to stem internal bleeding following the incident.
