NRL prospect Chevy Stewart charged over alleged damage to pokie machine at Sydney hotel

A week after the Raiders were bundled out of the NRL finals, one of their future stars has been charged for pouring booze into a pokie machine at a famous Sydney drinking hole.
Chevy Stewart, a junior NSW representative player, allegedly became irate at the gambling machine inside Northies just after the Storm beat the Sharks last Friday night, it has been reported.
Police said the alleged attack on the pokie machine by the promising fullback at 10pm “caused significant damage” .

By continuing you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy.“Officers attached to Sutherland Shire Police Area Command attended and were told a man had allegedly poured alcohol into one of the gaming machines, causing significant damage,” NSW Police said.
“The 20-year-old man was arrested and issued a Court Attendance Notice for malicious damage.
“The man was also issued a move-on direction from the premises, which was complied with.”
The NRL Integrity Unit will investigate Stewart, who hails from the Shire, to see if further action will be taken by the league.
