Olympic swimming star Ariarne Titmus reveals her secret weapon
When Ariarne Titmus hits the water in Paris, watch out for her secret weapon in her quest for Gold.
Her nails.
“I’ve got a bit of a superstition. I think I’ve been undefeated in the 400m since 2019 internationally and ever since then I’ve had gold sparkles all over, so I’ve got to keep it the same,” Ariarne told 7NEWS.

Double gold medallist Titmus is staying with the rest of the Australian Swimming Team at Chartres, a cathedral town an hour outside Paris. It’s the same community aquatic centre where they trained ahead of the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
They’re surrounded by stunning French countryside, with an ancient town filled with picture-postcard streets. But the Aussies focus has been elsewhere.
It’s all about the training, relaxing, and coffee.
“We’re very spoilt back home. I’d say the pod machine is the winner at the moment,” Ariarne says.
“It’s been hard to find a good coffee, but that’s been the most exciting thing really.”
That, and of course preparing to win gold.
