MAJOR AUSTRALIAN MEDAL HOPES ON DAY 11 AT THE PARIS OLYMPICS

* Tokyo champion Australia’s Matt Wearn is guaranteed a gold or silver medal in the men’s dinghy competition at the Paris Olympics after the final races were scrapped due to poor weather conditions (11.43pm).

* The Australian men’s team sprint feel they have more in the tank after qualifying for Tuesday’s cycling action with the third fastest time (3.09am).

* In the women’s park skateboarding, 14-year-old Arisa Trew will be looking to make her first podium (8.30pm), with some of her stiffest competition coming from teammate Ruby Trew (no relation).

* Five-time Olympic diver Melissa Wu and Sydney teenager Ellie Cole are out for a podium finish in the women’s 10m platform final (11pm).

OTHER MAJOR AUSTRALIAN ACTION

* Led by Jessica Hull, Georgia Griffiths and Linden Hall hit the track in the women’s 1500m (8.45pm).

* Eyeing successive Olympic medals after breakthrough Tokyo bronze, the Boomers’ campaign goes on the line against Serbia in the men’s basketball quarter-finals (10.30am).

* Australia’s Stingers will be looking to continue their stellar Olympic form and book a women’s water polo final four berth when they face Greece (3am).

* Star beach volleyball duo Mariafe Artacho del Solar and Taliqua Clancy play off against Switzerland in the quarter-final (5am) as the Australian women seek to build on their silver medal in Tokyo.

* The women’s team pursuit will be looking to match the track-topping feats of the Aussie male cyclists when they line up for qualifying (9.52pm).

WHAT ELSE IS HAPPENING

* Bronze medallists in Tokyo, the United States have higher ambitions in 2024 but must first take down German in their women’s football semifinal (2am).

* The athletics program continues with five gold medals up for grabs including in the final of the women’s 200m where 100m Paris champion Julien Alfred is back in action.
