The post was quickly flooded with likes and comments.

“Congrats you guys. Welcome to the fam Jagger,” Matildas teammate Katrina Gorry wrote.

“Awww congrats you two ❤️ he’s adorable,” goalkeeper Lydia Williams said.

“The cutest little man,” Emily van Egmond said.

“Welcome to the Tillies fam, Jagger! Congratulations to mums Sam and Kristie on the arrival of their beautiful baby boy!” The Matildas’ official account wrote.

Kerr, 31, and Mewis, 34, first met in 2020 before going public with their romance the following year. They have been engaged since late 2023.

They initially kept their engagement quiet before sharing photos of the moment.

“She’s my biggest supporter, always listening to me nag and complain, all of my crazy antics,” Mewis told People magazine at the time.

The Matildas captain remains on the sidelines after a devastating knee injury at the start of 2024, although she is closing in on a return to the field.

Mewis, an American football star herself, last played for her club West Ham last September before announcing her pregnancy in November.

She had only just returned to play following a serious leg injury which sidelined her for six months.
