Australian tennis legend and coach Pat Cash has shared that he is engaged to his ‘soulmate’ singer Charlotte Hodson.
Australian tennis legend and coach Pat Cash has shared that he is engaged to his “soulmate” singer Charlotte Hodson after “God had it all planned to perfection”.
The 61-year-old, best known for winning the 1987 Wimbledon singles title, announced his engagement to Hodson, 54, in a sweet Instagram post on Monday.
Sharing a photo of himself and his soon-to-be wife, Cash said that “Every now and then, life can surprise you in the very best way”.

“I can’t help but believe God had it all planned to perfection. She said yes.”
It comes after the couple went public for the first time by attending Wimbledon together last year and sitting in the royal box.
Hodson is also a holistic remedial massage therapist and has worked with high-profile athletes, including American tennis player Kayla Day.
Music-wise, she performs with the band Chocolate Charlie, which has toured as part of The Pat Cash Experience — a live show combining tennis and music
Cash was once married to Emily Bendit in 1990 and had twin sons, Shannon and Jett, before the couple divorced in 2002.
His earlier relationship was with Norwegian model Anne-Britt Kristiansen, and while they were never married welcomed a son, Daniel and a daughter, Mia, in his early 20s.
In 2010, Cash became a grandfather at the age of 44 when his daughter gave birth.
The former tennis player has been open about his mental health struggles and revealed that his children saved his life.
“If it wasn’t for my kids, I might have killed myself. I suffered from severe depression from the age of 19 until 35,” he told The Guardian.
“It’s no secret I experimented with drugs when I was younger, but the real issue was why I felt the need to.
“It was down to the stress I was under playing for my country, the expectations I put on myself and the expectations people put on me. I ended up checking into rehab for depression.
“Things got better when I retired from playing professionally.”
