The summer of cricket has officially arrived as Australia and India prepare for their box office battle in The West Test.

India has been the final frontier for this Australian side as they look to win the Border-Gavaskar Trophy for the first time in a decade.

India is coming off a shock home loss and will be raring to go but can Australia land the first punch on day one of their heavyweight bout?

McSweeney goes!

Jasprit Bumrah has his man!

It took a review but he angled one back into the debutant’s pads and got three red lights.

The youngster departs for 10 after an eventful first innings in Test cricket.

McSweeney in action!

Khawaja took the first ball but got off the mark instantly, putting McSweeney on strike.

He leaves the first one that then brushes his leg, leaves confidently and then gets beaten on the outside.

Bumrah is probing away.

TEA India all-out for 150

A terrific all-round bowling performance with Hazlewood the pick with 4-29.

Marsh kept the pressure on India with a lively spell after lunch taking to wickets.

India fought back through Pant and Nitish Kumar who made 41 on debut but once Pant was set-up by Cummins the resistance fell away.

All eyes now turn to Australia and how new opener Nathan McSweeney will fair. We’ll found out in 20minutes.

INDIA ALL OUT FOR 150!

Cummins to Nitish Kumar.

He steps away and finds the fap in the offside for two. It’s been a good innings from him amidst the carnage.

KHAWAJA DROPS A SODA! He pulls one straight in the air but Usman bottles it as it spills out!

Insult to injury Nitish Kumar drills a drive straight down the ground to bring up the 150.

HE MAKES UP FOR IT. Another pull and Khawaja runs hard makes it and takes the harder catch.

India all out for 150 after electing to bat first,

The Indian captain falls!

Bumrah works a single off Hazlewood. The field goes out for Kumar and he seems happy to take the singles of Hazlewood.

Short and Bumrah top edges a pull for six!

OUT!

Hazlewood puts it on a good length and Bumrah can’t help himself as he edges a drive straight to Carey and that will delay tea.

48th Over - IND 8-136

The captain Bumrah is in and the debutant Kumar wants to hog the strike here, turning down the singles.

He ramps a six that teased Labuschagne at 3rd man off the last ball.

Here’s the replay of that catch.

WHAT A CATCH!

Rana has a first-class average of 42 from his 10 matches so far and he works Hazlewood beautifully behind point for four.

OUT NEXT BALLL!.

What a catch! McSweeney dives to his left and almost takes it one handed but it pops out only for Labushcagne to dive across and take it one-handed with his right.

Unbelievable fielding!

46th Over - IND 7-124

Harshit Rana is off the mark in Test cricket straight away with a nice dap through the gully for three.

CUMMINS GETS PANT!

Cummins packs the offside field with only a wide mid-on and fine leg on the leg-side.

AND THE PLAN WORKS PERFECTLY!

Pant is enticed to try and work a ball outside off through the gap but it comes off the edge and flies to slip where Smith takes a smart catch.

Great captaincy and the end of a dangerous partnership.
