Angelina Williams: Mother who allowed pitbull to treat her 6yo as a ‘chew toy’ jailed
A mother has been jailed after she handcuffed her young son and allowed a pitbull to treat him like a “chew toy” during a horrific attack.
Angelina Williams, 28, had restrained her son with handcuffs on his wrists and ankles after he reportedly refused to pick up dog poo with his bare hands.
She was in the process of tying him to a chair when he fell to the ground and the dog attacked, latching onto his throat and refusing to let go.

Williams, her boyfriend Taylor Marvin-Brown and her uncle, the dog’s owner, Robert Michalski Jr, were all charged over the terrifying incident.
The boy and his sister, 8, who had also been restrained, were visiting Williams at Michalski’s home in Savannah, about 100km south of Cleveland, when the attack unfolded.
Michalski fled the scene with the dog but was found a few days later hiding in a cubbyhole at the house.
At an earlier bail hearing, Williams said the handcuffs did not belong to her and she did not know that they were illegal.
“My uncle told me that it was OK and I never meant any harm, I really didn’t.”
During her sentencing, Ashland County Common Pleas Court Judge Dave Stimpert said Williams had allowed her son to be treated like a “chew toy”, People reported.
“That dog tried to rip out his throat,” Judge Stimpert said.
“To see the pictures of the bruising around his eyes and his face from the force and the pressure that dog put on his throat, and then to see the wounds on his neck, I’m not sure that there are words that adequately describe it.”
The boy and his sister are now in the care of a guardian “where they are receiving appropriate support and protection”.
Williams was sentenced to up to 28 years in jail after pleading guilty to seven charges including kidnapping, child endangerment and obstruction of justice.
Michalski and Marvin-Brown are expected to be sentenced later this month.
