British man found dead by cleaner at Bali hostel in Badung Regency
A tourist has been found dead in a Bali hostel just hours after begging staff to change rooms.
The British man’s body was discovered by cleaners at the accommodation in Badung Regency around midday last Friday.
The 32-year-old had reported feeling sick the night before and pleaded with employees to switch rooms.

Bali authorities said there were no initial signs of violence.
“The witness tried to clean the room because the victim had actually wanted to move rooms. It was his own request the day before. The witness knocked on the room wall several times but there was no response,” a spokesperson for the Badung Police said.
“Suspecting something unwanted had happened in the room, she tried to open the curtain and was shocked to see the victim lying face down.”
It is understood the man was travelling with a group of friends.
A spokesperson for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office confirmed they are supporting his family.
