Donald Trump’s son Barron credited with ‘saving life’ of woman ‘attacked’ by ex Matvei Rumianstev, court told
Barron Trump, the son of the US President, has been credited with saving a woman’s life after she was allegedly attacked by her ex-boyfriend.
His quick thinking has come to light during proceedings in a London court where Matvei Rumianstev, 22, is facing trial accused physically and sexually assaulting the woman, who has not been named.
Barron, 19, the fifth and youngest child of Donald Trump, called the emergency line 999 at 2.23am on January 18 last year after an alarming FaceTime call.

Barron reported to authorities that “‘I just got a call from a girl I know. She’s getting beaten up”, in a call played to the Snaresbrook Crown Court, Metro UK reports.
He then gave the woman’s address and said, “It’s really an emergency, please. I got a call from her with a guy beating her up.”
It has been alleged in court that Mr Rumianstev was jealous of Barron’s relationship with the woman and became enraged when Barron tried to call her.
The jury was told that the woman captured audio of her attack during a FaceTime call with Barron, during which she was allegedly kicked in the stomach and called a “whore” and a “slut”.
Police bodycam footage of their attendance at the scene played in court captured officers telling the woman that someone in the US had contacted them, without revealing it was Barron.
“I am friends with Barron Trump, Donald Trump’s son,” she told officers, explaining she had been on a call to him earlier.
One of the officers can then be heard saying to another officer, “This female is friends with Donald Trump’s son. She was on a FaceTime with him when this assault happened and he’s called us.”
They then ask the woman to call Barron back to confirm. He goes on to tell officers that during the earlier 10-15 second FaceTime call with the woman that prompted him to call them that, “She called me. I picked up the phone expecting a nice hello or something.
“I just saw a ceiling and could hear screaming. I could see a guy’s head on the phone, and then the camera turns to her crying and getting hit.”
He continued, “I called you guys – that was the best thing I could do. I wasn’t going to call back and threaten things to him because that would just make the situation worse.”
During cross-examination, the woman told jurors that “(Barron) helped save my life. That call was like a sign from God at that moment”.
Mr Rumianstev has denied the charges of assault, actual bodily harm, two counts of rape, intentional strangulation and perverting the course of justice.
