Chester Zoo in UK sells tickets for ‘child predator tour’, ‘adult predator tour’, blames computer error

A zoo has blamed a tech error for selling “child predator tour” tickets on its website.
Chester Zoo in the UK has been subjected to much backlash online since the ticketing mishap last week.
Ticket’s for the zoo’s “Predator Tour” were added to their website as either “Adult Predator Tour” or “Child Predator Tour”, depending on age and group size.

It has a maximum of 32 participants and runs year-round, allowing guests to see Sumatran tigers, lions, rhinos, and Komodo dragons.
A Chester Zoo spokesperson told the BBC that the error was “quickly changed” and it was “due to our default naming convention in (the zoo’s) system”.
Tickets are now being sold as “Adult Tour” for £30 ($A56.73) or “Child Tour” for £25 ($A47.28).
On social media, the zoo has been mocked for the error, with most netizens labelling it as funny.
One Reddit user wrote, “This is just objectively funny”, with another liking it to #susanalbumparty, Susan Boyle’s unfortunately branded album launch.
“This is really funny, lmao, I hope they get lots of visitors due to this,” wrote another.
A netizen wrote, “Staggering - how did that get approved?”
Chester is located about 30 kilometres south of Liverpool.
