Cleveland: Hunt for gunmen after 12 killed in South Africa mass shooting attack
South African police are hunting more than 10 gunmen after a mass shooting at a settlement near Johannesburg that killed at least a dozen people.

At least 12 people have been killed and nine injured when gunmen opened fire at an informal settlement in Cleveland, east of Johannesburg.
Police said they had launched a manhunt for more than 10 suspects following the attack on Tuesday night at the Jumpers informal settlement.
The motive for the attack is not known.

South Africa has one of the world’s highest murder rates, averaging about 60 a day.
