Just hours after Sally’s public appeal, she confirmed her son had been found dead.

“Craig has been found. With the greatest sadness the world has lost Craig. He served in Afghanistan and he had PTSD,” she wrote.

His heartbroken friends and family have paid tribute to the war veteran on social media, with his brother Greg saying he is “fu**ing devastated”.

“My beautiful big brother. heartbroken. I love you so much I just wish you knew it, we all did. I will regret not calling you more for the rest of my life,” Greg wrote on Facebook.

“Thank you for everyone’s messages and comments of support I’m fu**ing devastated and flying out to Spain this morning.”

Despite his own struggles, Ainsworth spent many years of his life helping others with their wellbeing and founded a coaching company that taught people how to “build resilience, destroy limiting beliefs and sharpen clarity”.
