Hadi Al Koumi: London teenage predator to serve jail time after attacking four women in two days

A teenage predator has been jailed after he sexually assaulted four women on the London Underground network.
Hadi Al Koumi, from Ealing, West London, would prowl the underground looking for women to assault. It was reported that he attacked each victim at stations or on trains in Central and West London, between August 6 and August 8 in 2024.
In one attack, the 18-year-old male preyed on a woman in her 30s as she boarded a rush hour Jubilee line train at St John’s Wood.

Al Koumi wasn’t done.
Just hours later, he set his eyes on his next victim, who was reported to be a woman in her 40s whom he assaulted in a similar manner to his other victims, The Daily Mail reported.
A pattern emerged of Al Koumi approaching the women at stations or whilst on the train in an attempt to start a conversation, when the women would request that he left them alone, he would ignore and continue to harass them.
A fourth victim in her 30s was approached by the 18-year-old at around 11.15pm, who later reported that she was assaulted on the train between Greenford and Perivale station.
She managed to escape Al Koumi after throwing glass at the teen predator as the doors of the train opened.
All four attacks were captured on CCTV, leading to Al Koumi being arrested by patrolling British Transport police on August 27 last year.
On Friday, he was sentenced to four years and eight months behind bars. The teen was found guilty of one count of sexual assualt despite pleading guilty to three more attacks.
Al Koumi has also been served a life-long signature on the Sex Offenders Register and handed a six-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
“Al Koumi took deliberate advantage of the rail network in order to assault multiple women for his own sexual gratification”, Detective Sergeant Matthew Nolan said.
“He’s clearly a dangerous predator who has exhibited a disturbing and abhorrent pattern of offending towards women, so I’m grateful to see the sentencing handed down today, and I hope it can bring some sense of closure and comfort to the women he targeted.
“There is zero tolerance for sexual offences on the rail network, and we have uniformed patrols and specially-trained plain clothes officers on patrol at stations and on trains around the clock to keep the travelling public safe”, Detective Nolan continued.
“We will continue to do everything in our power to bring offenders like Al Koumi to justice.”
Al Koumi’s sentencing comes as the latest statistics reveal other incidents on the Tube which have more than doubled since Sir Sadiq Khan became Mayor in 2016.
Liam McGuicken, 53, was sentenced to 16 months behind bars after the ‘cowardly’ robbery of two deaf women in their 80s, which was caught on CCTV. The footage showed McGuicken shoving one of the women into a handrail at the train station, before snatching her purse and raiding her wallet.
Over 16,288 crimes were reported on the Underground network between January and August 2024, which is a rise of 13 per cent on the same period the year before.
