Henry Nowak protests: Two charged over clashes with UK police sparked by stabbing video
Eleven police officers and one police dog were injured in violent clashes with protesters sparked by the fatal stabbing of 18-year-old Henry Nowak.
UK Police have charged two men following violent protests near the site where teenager Henry Nowak was fatally stabbed.
The charges come as UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer condemned the “unforgivable” calls of UK Reform leader Nigel Farage’s calls for Brits to respond to the 18-year-old’s death with “pure cold rage”.
Eleven police officers and one police dog were injured in Tuesday’s unrest, where demonstrators hurled missiles at them near the home of Mr Nowak’s killer, Vickrum Digwa in the Portswood area of Southampton.

Both are due to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
Digwa, who stabbed Mr Nowak with a large blade and falsely told police at the scene he was the victim of a racist altercation, was handed a life sentence with a minimum 21-year term on Monday.
Police bodycam footage released after the sentencing showed officers arresting and cuffing Mr Nowak instead of his attacker while one policeman audibly disregarded his desperate pleas that he had been stabbed.
The footage led to the violent altercations between protesters and police on Tuesday as well as fiery scenes within British political circles with Mr Farage claiming the existence of “two-tier policing”, in which officers are seen as dealing with ethnic minorities more leniently.
The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has since launched an investigation into the force’s response.
