‘I won’t be able to play with my children’: Mother left paralysed after man falls on her during music festival
It is unlikely that the mother-of-two will ever be able to walk again after being paralysed from the waist down during a freak incident at a US music festival.
A mother-of-two has been left paralysed from the waist down after a man fell from a tree and landed on top of her during a music festival in the US.
Jamie Ulshoffer was attending the Louder Than Life music festival in Kentucky last week with her husband, when she was seriously injured in the freak incident.
Speaking to reporters from hospital, the woman from Tennessee revealed it is not yet not clear whether she’ll ever be able to walk again, with the fall severing her spinal cord.

“He shouldn’t have been up there,” she said of the man who fell on her, revealing he had messaged her while she was at hospital.
“Definitely after it just rained, too. Stupid decision. You did this, but I’ll forgive you.”
From her bedside her husband Conor Ulshoffer explained how the couple had been standing near the trees enjoying the music when the tragedy unfolded.
“I turn around and see her on her back … Then everyone said some dude fell out of a tree,” Mr Ulshoffer told reporters.
The couple first met while line dancing and cherish going to music as part of their relationship.
“That’s how we met and everything,” Ms Ulshoffer continued: “We love music, all types.”
According to a GoFundMe created by Ms Ulshoffer’s niece, the incident has left her with life-changing injuries.
“We are setting up this GoFundMe as a means to gather donations for Jamie and her husband Conor, who is currently in the hospital suffering from a severed spine who will most likely never be able to walk again.
“All donations will go toward her and her medical bills, anything is greatly appreciated.
More than $30,000 USD ($42,000 AUD) had been raised for Ms Ulshoffer and her family by Tuesday morning.
The Louisville Metro Police Department confirmed to WHAS that their office had learned that “a tree limb broke,” causing the man to fall onto “an adult female,” with nearby officers rendering first aid until emergency crews could transport the woman to the local hospital.
