Their tour guide said they were taking a photograph moments before the horrifying incident.
Two tourists have died in Indonesia after plummeting 20 metres after suspension bridge gave way underneath them on Sunday.
A 55-year-old man and 57-year-old woman, both from Austria, were crossing the 50-metre-long bridge on their way to the Cunca Wulang Waterfall on the island of Flores.
The popular destination is located two hours from Labuan Bajo, the gateway to the Komodo Islands.

“They were walking side by side, smiling warmly toward the camera,” they said.
“Suddenly, I heard a very loud sound of breaking wood, like a large tree branch falling.”
The bridge reportedly collapsed in second and the pair plummeted 20 metres into the rocky river below.
Photos of the bridge shared on social media reveal the gaping holes in the wooden bridge.

The bodies of the couple were retrieved on Sunday from the river.
A 20 to 30 minute jungle trek is required to reach the Cunca Wulang Waterfall, which is famous for its rock formations and is likened to a mini Grand Canyon.
The area remains closed to visitors.
