Influencer, University of Salford student Maria Eftimova dies while climbing mountain in Wales

A travel influencer has fallen to her death in a tragic mountain climbing accident.
Maria Eftimova, 28, was scaling the Tryfan mountain in Wales when she went to reach for a ledge and slipped, tumbling approximately 19 metres down the mountain.
It’s understood a nearby team member performed CPR but she could not be saved.

The influencer’s friend Megan Griffiths said she was a “one of a kind person”.
“Maria was a one of a kind person who lived life to the fullest – not only adventurous and free-spirited but also incredibly kind, intelligent and selfless,” Griffith said.
“Her tragic loss will be felt by so many, and we are absolutely devastated to lose such a precious friend.”
Eftimova was the second person to die on the mountain in just 10 days, with Tryfan being known as one of the UK’s deadliest mountains.
