An animal handler has died a day after he was attacked by a crocodile at a wildlife park in Papua New Guinea.
Horrifying footage shows the man clinging to the side of a pool in Adventure Park in Port Moresby as a crocodile’s jaws trapped his legs.
Bystanders are pictured attempting to help the man from the edge of the pool, as well as attempting to offer him a metal pole through a nearby fence.

Bystander Gibson John told the ABC the man was “in severe pain” but “couldn’t scream” while he was trapped.
“He brought the chicken to the fence, and the crocodile attacked the person and tried to bring him into the pool,” Mr John told the ABC.
“We couldn’t assist at that time, [but] I managed to contact the St John’s Ambulance.”
It is believed the crocodile was shot by police to free the man, who was rushed to 3 Mile Hospital.
Tragically, he passed away at 7am local time on Sunday.
Adventure Park has since been closed until further notice.
