Porte de Clichy stabbing attack: Three women wounded in Paris as knifeman taken down by off-duty policeman
Shock footage appears to show the accused knifeman at the centre of a Paris attack which left three women brutally stabbed.

Three women, one of them pregnant, have been attacked by a knife-wielding assailant in Paris, with two of the victims sustaining serious wounds.
The alleged attacker was apprehended near Porte de Clichy by an off-duty police officer at the scene.

Shocking social media footage appeared to show an assailant casually jogging along the street with a knife. After crossing the road the alleged attacker appears to lunge at a woman before running on.
Other online clips appeared to show a man being restrained with a chair on the street.
Interior Minister Laurent Nunez told reporters the man had been apprehended by the off-duty officer.
“I pay tribute to him, it was a courageous act,” Mr Nunez said.
Le Parisien quoted a police source who said: “The guy said, ‘Allah sent me to kill women’.”
However, Mr Nunez highlighted the alleged offender’s “incoherent statements” and warned people against jumping to conclusions. He added that terrorism was not the leading theory in the investigation into the attack.
“‘The investigation must shed light on the motivations of the perpetrator. Deep gratitude to the off-duty police officer who subdued the assailant,” Paris mayor Emmanuel Gregoire posted on social media.
The attack came just hours after an Islamist suspect was shot dead after allegedly ramming a car into a Berlin gay pride parade, killing one participant and injuring dozens.
