Prince Harry returns to Lesotho to help his children’s charity Sentebale with Prince Seeiso
Prince Harry has touched down in Lesotho, the country he has often described as his ‘home away from home’.
Travelling without wife Meghan Markle, the Duke of Sussex has already been mingling with royal counterparts, lunching with Princess Senate Lesotho, before linking up with long-time friend, Prince Seeiso, who he founded the African youth charity Sentebale with back in 2006.
The pair have also met with local leaders with the charity in the township of Maseru in a bid to demonstrate its programs to potential donors.

The Prince’s current visit is his first time back since 2019 and marks his first visit no longer as a working royal. That previous visit was made with Meghan and their son Prince Archie, who is now 5.
“Through its work in Lesotho and Botswana, Sentebale has developed a profound understanding of local youth - their passions, their concerns and their extraordinary creativity,” the Duke of Sussex said in a statement.
“As we head towards our 20th anniversary our ambition has grown giving us the confidence to bring our skills and experience in designing solutions with young people, and to leveraging our convening power to engage with leading regional players and global funders so we can add Sentebale’s voice to addressing the challenges faced by the next generation in Southern Africa.”
The Prince is due to continue on to Johannesburg, where he will join a panel called “Potential is Waiting: The Johannesburg Edition”.
“It fills me, the team and our wider community with joy to welcome Prince Harry, or Mohale, as we affectionately refer to him by his Sesotho royal name which means ‘warrior,’ ” Prince Seeiso said.
