Renningen, Germany: Body found in search for three-month-old allegedly kidnapped from pram after grocery trip
Police said the three-month-old was ‘lifted from his stroller by an unknown person and taken away’.
Police have provided a devastating update on their search for a three-month-old child who was kidnapped snatched from a stroller.
The baby had been missing in the German town of Renningen in the region of Baden-Württemberg since 11.30pm on June 18, local time, according to police.
As part of their investigation, they said the search operation involved a police helicopter, drones, and search dogs.

The grandmother told the masthead that the infant was left unattended for a short moment while the mother carried groceries upstairs.
“My daughter came home from shopping, she had bags with her and wanted to carry them up to the second floor,” she said in a translated quote.
A police spokesperson confirmed this to BILD, saying the parents reported the child missing immediately.
“The child was unattended for a short time,” a translation of the statement read.
“He was lifted from his stroller by an unknown person and taken away. “
On June 19, police provided a devastating update on their search, saying that the body of a baby had been found.
“It could be the missing boy,” a spokesperson said.
They said the police were working to identify the infant and an investigation was ongoing.
BILD reported that the body was found lying near the Rankbach stream, which runs through the town.
Renningen has a population of about 18,000 people.
