Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor scandal: Sarah Ferguson feels ‘incredibly betrayed’ by Royal Family
The ex-wife of disgraced former prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has revealed the one member of the Royal Family she feels betrayed by.
An insider has revealed that former duchess Sarah Ferguson feels “incredibly betrayed” by members of the Royal Family.
Ms Ferguson has come under fire in recent months due to her close relationship with convicted paedophile and disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.
When the US justice department began to release the files in late 2025, emails attributed to the former duchess saw her label the sex offender as a “pillar” in her life, a “brother” and “friend”.

“Sarah feels incredibly betrayed... Fergie’s very bitter, she’s angry and feels wronged by everyone in the family,” the unnamed insider said.
“What people don’t see is just how low she’s sunk. Every time she opens a paper or goes online, it’s another reminder that she’s completely on the outside and there’s no real way back, and she’s really struggling to come to terms with that,” the insider said.
According to the insider, Ms Ferguson feels most betrayed by Queen Camilla, who was once a close friend of hers.
“After everything she’s been through with them she feels she’s owed a heck of a lot more than being cut off without any proper explanation,” they said.
“She says they owe her at least a conversation and a shred of sympathy, especially someone like Camilla, who she once considered a close ally.”
The ex-duchess’ whereabouts since her and Mr Mountbatten-Windsor were kicked out of the Royal Lodge is still unknown, however, it’s definitely not in the US.
Just two weeks ago, US lawmaker Suhas Subramanyam, 39, wrote to Ms Ferguson asking her to testify in Congress about Epstein and disclose any information relating to his sex trafficking operations.
Because Ms Ferguson is not a US citizen, she is not obliged to appear before Congress. According to an insider, she has made it clear she has no plans on returning.
“Sarah has made it clear to those around her she will never set foot in America again,” an inside source told the Mirror.
“She is deeply worried about the reaction she would face, whether from Epstein’s victims or scrutiny from Congress.
“She feels it would be unbearable and does not want to be put in a position under oath where she would be asked not only about Epstein but also about Andrew. It has not been a difficult decision despite how deeply entrenched in America she once was.”
