Prince Harry’s London court appearance has overshadowed the King and Queen’s first full day of engagements on their State visit to Italy.
The Duke of Sussex arrived in a London court flanked by private security on Wednesday.
Prince Harry launched his appeal to win back the security entitlements that were stripped from him five years ago when he and Meghan stepped back from Royal Duties.

Barrister Shaheed Fatima told the court: “The appellant does not accept that bespoke means better. In fact it means in his submission that he has been singled out for different, unjustified and inferior treatment.”

And accusing him of failing “to see the wood for the trees” over the extent of the security already in place.
“The decision was in essence that the appellant would be better served by this approach, not as the appellant appears to assume without foundation deprived of some useful procedural benefit or advantage,” Sir James Eadie KC, representing the Home Office, said.
It was the very kind of duties which the Sussex’s withdrew from, that the King and Queen were busy with as Harry was in court.

British Red Arrows jets and the Italian Frecce Tricolore performed a flyover, in an act of military cooperation.
From there, the King and Queen visited The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, a Roman war memorial, before ending the day with the signature event — a tour of the Colosseum.
Britain’s Welsh Guards played alongside an Italian infantry band in another display of unity, all with the aim of strengthening cultural and military ties between the nations.
The theme of unity is one the Royal family could certainly embrace, after it emerged that Prince Harry and King Charles did not meet when the pair were both in England two days ago.
